May: No Worries
"This song was written and recorded in May 2018 so as of this writing, it is brand new. I had to finally give up on getting what I thought was a decent mix because my OCD was starting to blast off!" - Mike

June: Graham Isn't Dead
"From a batch of songs co-written with Graham Parker. This one started with an article I read about a British chap named Graham who was walking around believing he was already dead. It's a rare mental illness called "Cotard Delusion" (which is a good title as well). When I sent the piece to the living Graham, he replied 'I'm on it!' "

July: For Those Left Behind
"Written & recorded this week. The death of close friends and people I know (knew?) has been on my mind a lot in the past year. Maybe writing is a way to cope with this loss? Who knows..."

August: I Feel That Way All The Time
"This is a Green Pajamas song from their fantastic record from 1984 "Summer Of Lust" that I was first turned onto in the summer of 1989 at our first managers' (Sully) apartment (he had a wall to wall record collection as mentioned in Figgs song "Cheap Cassettes"). I must admit I've been a bit obsessed with the LP and it's production qualities ever since. It had something that most records I was hearing around that time were missing. A special vibe, fantastic songs, two friends recording music (mostly about girls) in a house (hey, that's what we were trying to do!), and zero evidence of industry trends or interference . "My Mad Kitty" was the B side of our first single, "Katy Lied" was in our mid 90's set lists and we have attempted to capture a studio version of this one several times over the years (this will someday happen!). "Mike Brown" was briefly played live by both Figgs & Gentlemen, and this one, "I Feel That Way All The Time", we've stumbled through live a couple of times (once in Seattle in front of band members Jeff & Joe). I love The Green Pajamas. They have a huge, rich discography that I am still exploring and being influenced by...but like any first love, "Summer Of Lust" will always have a special place in my soul."
"I took a Todd Rundgren "Faithful" (side one) approach with this one, and tried to match the production and performance of the original recording."

September: Mills/Berry
"Written while vacationing on Cape Cod in August & recorded this month. A follow up to single #4. Not sure what I'm on about with this one, but I was trying to capture a little Fables/Joe Boyd vibe here."

October: In The Galleries
"Written with John Powhida. This started as a song called Untie The Knot which had the same music and was the first version of Keith & The Buddha. Confused yet? Me too. Anyway, I found these lyrics in a folder earlier this month and after some editing and adding to, wrote some new music for them, and here you have it!"

November: Holiday Waves
"This started out as an idea for a new Thanksgiving day song and dance called 'Do The Gobble' where you would play the song at the table during dinner, and each person would get up and do the funniest dance move they could think of. It also would feature the sound of turkeys gobbling throughout. When I quickly realized that this was not such a great idea, and that the single would be released post Thanksgiving, I decided to change the title and feel of the song. In the middle solo section, I also tried to mix surf music with some Spanish guitar instinto. Who knows though, maybe next Thanksgiving, 'Do The Gobble' will be written, recorded, and released. Enjoy!"

December: Last Of Your Kind
"Started as an instrumental and later finished with lyrics. I have no clue as to what I am going on about here on this one.
Keep an ear out for my sons non auto tuned vocal debut. Enjoy!"
